Ingredients:

  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen egg roll wrappers, thawed
  • 1 pound ground pork or chicken
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Vegetable oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork or chicken, onion, green onion, carrots, cabbage, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Place a thawed egg roll wrapper on a flat surface.
  5. Place about 1/4 cup of the filling mixture in the centre of the wrapper.
  6. Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides.
  7. Brush the top edge of the wrapper with the beaten egg.
  8. Fold the top of the wrapper over the filling to seal the egg roll.
  9. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  10. Spray the air fryer basket with vegetable oil.
  11. Place the egg rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  12. Spray the egg rolls with vegetable oil.
  13. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the egg rolls are golden brown and crispy.
  14. Remove the egg rolls from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Tips:

  • You can add other ingredients to the filling, such as water chestnuts, mushrooms, or bean sprouts.
  • You can serve the egg rolls with your favourite dipping sauce, such as duck sauce, sweet and sour sauce, or hot mustard.
  • If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake the egg rolls in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.

Enjoy!
