Air Fryer Egg Rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 package (16 ounces) frozen egg roll wrappers, thawed
- 1 pound ground pork or chicken
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1/4 cup chopped carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped cabbage
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup water
- Vegetable oil spray
Instructions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork or chicken, onion, green onion, carrots, cabbage, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Mix well until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Place a thawed egg roll wrapper on a flat surface.
- Place about 1/4 cup of the filling mixture in the centre of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides.
- Brush the top edge of the wrapper with the beaten egg.
- Fold the top of the wrapper over the filling to seal the egg roll.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Spray the air fryer basket with vegetable oil.
- Place the egg rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Spray the egg rolls with vegetable oil.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the egg rolls are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the egg rolls from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Tips:
- You can add other ingredients to the filling, such as water chestnuts, mushrooms, or bean sprouts.
- You can serve the egg rolls with your favourite dipping sauce, such as duck sauce, sweet and sour sauce, or hot mustard.
- If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake the egg rolls in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
