Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients:

  • 6 jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • Vegetable oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Stir until the ingredients are well combined.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Dip each jalapeño half in the beaten egg, then in the panko bread crumbs.
  6. Coat the jalapeño halves evenly with the bread crumbs.
  7. Place the jalapeño halves in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  8. Spray the jalapeño halves with vegetable oil.
  9. Air fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the jalapeño halves are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove the jalapeño halves from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Tips:

  • You can add other ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, such as bacon bits, green onions, or chopped jalapeños.
  • You can serve the jalapeño poppers with your favourite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing, sour cream, or salsa.
  • If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake the jalapeño poppers in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes.

Enjoy!
