Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers
Ingredients:
- 6 jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- Vegetable oil spray
Instructions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Stir until the ingredients are well combined.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture.
- Dip each jalapeño half in the beaten egg, then in the panko bread crumbs.
- Coat the jalapeño halves evenly with the bread crumbs.
- Place the jalapeño halves in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Spray the jalapeño halves with vegetable oil.
- Air fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the jalapeño halves are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove the jalapeño halves from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Tips:
- You can add other ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, such as bacon bits, green onions, or chopped jalapeños.
- You can serve the jalapeño poppers with your favourite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing, sour cream, or salsa.
- If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake the jalapeño poppers in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes.
